Why the M5 Pro tier is diagnosed differently
The MacBook Pro M5 Pro arrived in March 2026 in both the 14-inch and 16-inch bodies, as the middle tier between the October 2025 base M5 and the M5 Max. On paper the gap is a 12-core CPU with eight performance cores, a 19-core GPU, a 16-core neural engine and up to 48GB of unified memory against the base M5's 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU. In practice the gap is heat: the same Liquid Retina XDR mini-LED panel, three Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI 2.1, SDXC slot, MagSafe 3 charging and six-speaker system, working much harder for much longer.
That changes what a repair has to prove. A board that reads clean at idle can still throttle or drop a rail once an M5 Pro is twenty minutes into a Blender render, so every repair on this tier is signed off against a 30-minute sustained load rather than a boot chime, and the 16-inch gets the closest look of all. There is no appointment system and no charge for the first look, at either address. The Media City bench is Office 45 on the 10th floor of Concord Tower, with free customer parking if you drive, so it is one lift ride up once you are in the building. The Bur Dubai bench is on the ground floor of the IT Center Building on 21A Street, where parking on the street is paid and the BurJuman car park takes the overflow.
Opening hours at both are Monday to Saturday, 09:00 until 21:00, with a Friday prayer pause between 12:00 and 14:00 and Sunday closed. If a post house or a dev team has several M5 Pro machines going down at once, message before anyone starts loading a car: one collection run is easier on everybody than four separate trips across the city.
