What the 16-inch chassis changes about the repair
The 16-inch MacBook Pro M5 series arrived in March 2026 in two tiers, M5 Pro and M5 Max, and Apple offers no base M5 in this body at all. That matters less than what the body itself does. The 16.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR spreads more mini-LED dimming zones across a wider surface, so there is simply more area on which a stage-light defect can show. The battery is a higher-capacity pack shared across both chip tiers and charged from a 140W supply. The six-speaker array carries force-cancelling woofers, and the Force Touch trackpad is physically larger while working exactly as the smaller one does.
Cooling is the part people underestimate. Extra headroom in this body lets the chip hold clocks for longer, but the fans work harder to buy that, and harder fans move more air and more of whatever is in it. In Dubai that means dust arriving faster through sandstorm season, on top of summer heat above 45C wearing at the battery and air conditioning leaving condensation under the panel. It is also the less convenient chassis to transport for walk-in service, which is why free collection is offered on it, and why the bench proves the repair under a real sustained load before you get it back.

Media City is Office 45, ten floors up inside Concord Tower, where customer parking is free. Bur Dubai is unit G 58 at street level in the IT Center Building, 21A Street, where parking on the street is paid and the BurJuman car park takes the overflow when the kerb is full.
Hours at both are 09:00 to 21:00 from Monday to Saturday, with a Friday prayer break between 12:00 and 14:00 and no Sunday opening. If carrying a 16-inch across town is the reason the repair has been put off, say so and we will come to it. If you are bringing several machines from a nearby Media City office, message us first and we will meet you downstairs.
