Prices below are for the MacBook Air M2 (2022 13-inch and 2023 15-inch). The M2 Air uses a different display, battery and top-case from the M1 Air, so parts are not interchangeable.

The M2 Air introduced a Liquid Retina display with a notch, a first for the Air line. The display assembly includes the camera, ambient-light sensor and True Tone sensor all integrated into the notch housing. Replacing the display on an M2 Air is more involved than on earlier models because of this integration; we always replace the full assembly rather than attempting glass-only repair to avoid calibration faults with the camera and sensors. The M2 Air is rated at 18 hours battery life when new, but real-world capacity drops measurably after 300–400 cycles, typical for 2–3 years of Dubai use in air-conditioned offices. The M2 Air battery is adhesively secured and requires careful extraction; we always confirm cycle count and health percentage at diagnosis so you can decide if replacement is worthwhile at that point in the machine's life. A replacement battery typically restores 10–14 hours of real-world use.

The M2 Air was the first Air to bring back MagSafe (MagSafe 3). Charging problems on the M2 Air are more commonly caused by a faulty MagSafe board or a damaged connector than by a dead battery. We test the MagSafe board and USB-C power delivery before quoting for any repair, as a board replacement is significantly cheaper than a battery replacement if the battery itself is healthy.

The M2 Air's fanless design means liquid can reach the logic board through the keyboard and MagSafe port without the usual airflow paths. Corrosion on the M2 Air logic board typically affects the power management section, audio codec and USB-C controller. We assess, clean and micro-solder at our Bur Dubai workshop. The M2 Air uses Apple Silicon with an integrated Secure Enclave, so data recovery from a dead board depends on the encryption state and whether the SoC itself is damaged.
