Why the gap?
Apple replaces the entire top assembly - panel, glass, bezel, lid housing, antennas, camera - in one shot. We replace only what is broken, which is almost always the LCD panel itself with the glass either intact or replaced separately. Same functional result, with fewer parts on the invoice.
Where do the parts come from?
Azizi sources MacBook Neo LCD panels through OEM suppliers in Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Genuine-grade panels match the original part on our bench tests - same native resolution, same colour calibration profile, same backlight uniformity, same touch response (n/a, MacBook screens are not touch). The only difference is the absence of Apple retail packaging and Apple's logistics markup.
What we never use
- Refurbished panels from salvaged Neos (we use refurbished only as a clearly disclosed budget option, quoted separately, never as default).

What the screen replacement procedure looks like
For full transparency, here is what happens during a typical MacBook Neo screen replacement at our workshop. Step one is intake - we record the device serial, photograph existing damage, and run our standard diagnostic to confirm the screen is the only fault (rules out logic board or display ribbon issues that could mimic screen damage). Step two is the actual swap - removing the bottom case, disconnecting the battery, opening the lid, removing the old display assembly screws, disconnecting the display ribbon, fitting the new panel, reconnecting and reassembling.
