In Dubai it is bought by people who want MacBook Pro-class screen area without the weight or the fan noise, which in practice means senior consultants, lawyers and finance professionals rather than the student and creator mix that fills the 13-inch bench.
Two things follow from the size, and both change the repair. The larger backlight can show more variation across the panel, so Apple's uniformity tolerance is tighter here than on the 13-inch and a replacement display has to be verified rather than simply fitted. And six speakers instead of four means audio faults are a real category on this machine, and that the pack sees slightly higher discharge under music or video playback, which we allow for at the battery diagnostic. Dubai then adds its own patterns on top: 45C summer heat that accelerates battery degradation, air-conditioning condensation that affects backlight uniformity, sandstorm dust through the chassis vents, and sand and salt from Palm Jumeirah and JBR weekends.

Both open 09:00 to 21:00 Monday to Saturday, break for Friday prayers between 12:00 and 14:00, and close on Sunday. The intake look is free at either counter and takes about half an hour.
