Prices vary by model as battery cells and form factors differ. The list below covers the most common configurations; exact pricing is confirmed after diagnosis and model verification.

Not every laptop that will not charge has a dead battery. We test both the battery health (cycle count and actual capacity vs rated capacity) and the charging circuit (adapter output, DC jack, charging board) before recommending a replacement. In approximately one in four cases, the problem is a faulty DC jack or a worn charging port rather than a degraded battery. Fixing the port costs significantly less than a battery replacement. We always diagnose before quoting.

Laptop batteries are lithium-ion cells operating near the rated voltage of the charging circuit. An undersized cell (lower mAh than OEM rating) charges faster and degrades faster; an oversized cell can overload the BMS and cause thermal runaway. We only fit cells matched to or exceeding the OEM mAh rating and compatible with the laptop's battery-management system. We do not fit generic, unbranded cells sold by weight without a BMS verification number.

Bring your laptop in before 2 PM and the replacement is typically completed the same day. Less common models may require a 24-hour wait for parts sourcing. We confirm availability at the time of diagnosis before you commit to leaving the device with us.

A swollen laptop battery, visible as a bulge lifting the keyboard or bottom panel, is a safety issue, not just a performance issue. Lithium-ion cells produce gas when they fail; a badly puffed cell can rupture and catch fire. If your laptop base is visibly deformed, do not charge it and bring it in immediately. We safely extract and dispose of swollen cells and replace them the same visit. Swollen-battery removal is included in the standard replacement price.
