Common laptop faults
The six faults that make up most of our laptop bench work, and what each one usually involves.
Cracks, flickering, vertical lines, dim or dead backlight. Most mainstream panels are same-day; high-resolution and touch assemblies can need a short parts lead time.
Rapid drain, sudden shutdowns, or a swollen pack pushing the trackpad or case apart. A swollen battery is a safety issue and should be dealt with quickly rather than left in use.
Dead or repeating keys, spill damage, unresponsive trackpad. On many modern laptops the keyboard is part of the top case, so the fix is an assembly rather than a single key.
Laptop only charges at a certain angle, or not at all. Usually a worn DC jack or USB-C port that has to be desoldered and replaced, not a cable problem.
Constant fan noise, hot chassis, performance dropping under load, random shutdowns. Dubai dust clogs intakes quickly, so a strip-down clean and fresh thermal paste often restores full speed.
Blue screens, boot loops, or a laptop that will not start. We separate power and board faults from drive faults at diagnosis, and check whether your data is recoverable before you commit.
