Placement over hardware

Most systems we fix were not badly installed.

They were badly placed. Cameras aimed at a car park in general rather than at the gate people actually use, mounted high enough that everyone is a shape rather than a face, recording at a resolution that cannot identify anyone, and keeping footage for less time than it takes for someone to notice a problem and go looking.

None of that is a hardware fault, and none of it is fixable by buying better cameras. It is decided by somebody walking the site and asking what you would actually need to see, which for Abu Dhabi means a scheduled survey rather than an estimate over the phone.

How We Cover Abu Dhabi

Azizi Technologies is a Dubai business with workshops in Dubai Media City and Bur Dubai. There is no Abu Dhabi office. Installation work is delivered by our own engineers driving out, on dates agreed with you.

  • Roughly 140 km from our workshops, about 90 minutes by road on the E11
  • Site surveys and installation days are scheduled rather than dispatched same-day
  • For planned project work this is rarely a constraint, since the survey sets the date anyway

  • For faults needing an engineer within the hour, an Abu Dhabi provider is the honest recommendation

Placement Is the Whole Job

Camera count is what people ask about. Placement is what determines whether the footage is worth anything.

  • Identification versus observation: a camera that shows someone was there is not the same as one that shows who
  • Entry points, approach paths and choke points prioritised over blanket coverage of open space
  • Lighting assessed at the survey, since a camera facing an Abu Dhabi sunrise records a silhouette and nothing else
  • Mounting height chosen so faces are captured rather than the tops of heads
  • Warehouse and yard coverage planned around vehicle movement and loading points, not the perimeter fence alone

Recording, Retention and Access

This is where systems quietly fail, usually discovered at the exact moment the footage is needed.

Finding us

Office 45, Concord Tower

There is no Abu Dhabi office. Abu Dhabi clients are supported remotely every day, with on-site engineer visits scheduled from our two Dubai offices, roughly 90 minutes away down the E11: Office 45 on the 10th floor of Concord Tower in Dubai Media City, and the IT Center Building in Bur Dubai.

Remote support runs from both offices during workshop hours, Mon-Sat 9AM-7PM, Fri break 12-2PM · Sun closed. If you would rather drop a device in Dubai, the nearest metro to Concord Tower is Dubai Internet City and there is visitor parking (first 15 minutes free, then paid).

How Abu Dhabi is covered

Daily remote helpdesk from Dubai, on-site engineer visits by schedule, and a faulty device can travel back with the engineer on a contract visit. Other repairs come to a Dubai workshop, with photos on WhatsApp first. No Abu Dhabi office, and no response time the map does not allow.

An assessment first, then a written scope with response times in the contract, then onboarding and ongoing support reviewed quarterly.

How many cameras do we need?
It depends entirely on what you are trying to see, which is why we survey before quoting. Four well-placed cameras covering entry points and choke points beat twelve pointed at open space. Camera count is the last decision in the design, not the first.
How long will footage be kept?
However long you need, provided storage is sized for it. Most systems keep far less than owners assume, because the NVR shipped with defaults nobody changed. We agree the retention period first and size the storage to match, then tell you what that costs.
Can we view the cameras from our phone?
Yes, configured securely. We set up remote viewing through the manufacturer's proper channel rather than by exposing the NVR directly to the internet, which is one of the most common ways camera systems get compromised and end up on public streaming sites.
Do you take over an existing system?
Yes. We regularly inherit systems installed by others, assess what is worth keeping and replace only what needs replacing. Existing cabling is often reusable even when the cameras are not, which reduces cost substantially compared with a full rip and replace.
Are there rules about where cameras can go?
Yes, and they are worth taking seriously. Cameras should cover your own property, not a neighbour's windows or more of the public street than necessary, and never areas where people reasonably expect privacy. Signage is expected. We design to those principles and will decline placements that breach them.
What if a camera fails after installation?
Health monitoring flags a failed camera or a full disk before you need the footage, which is when most people discover a problem. Configuration issues are usually fixed remotely. A physical failure needs a scheduled visit, and we are honest that this is not same-day from Dubai.
