VoIP Phone Systems Dubai
VoIP (Voice over IP) replaces traditional phone lines with internet-based calling that costs a fraction of PSTN rates and scales instantly as your team grows. Azizi Technologies supplies and configures VoIP phone systems for Dubai businesses, billed per user per month, with no PBX hardware required, calls over your existing internet connection, and a mobile app so staff can take business calls anywhere. We work with Cisco Webex Calling, 3CX, RingCentral, Zoom Phone and Microsoft Teams Phone, selecting the right platform for your team size, call volume and budget.

What moving to VoIP changes
The number stops belonging to a desk.
On a traditional line, a phone number is tied to a physical socket in a building. That single fact is behind most of what businesses find frustrating about PSTN: you cannot take the office number home, adding a desk means an engineer visit, and a new office means new numbers on the letterhead.
VoIP moves the number to the person. It rings the desk phone, the laptop and the mobile app together, so staff take business calls from anywhere without giving out a personal number - and adding a user is an administrative change rather than a site visit.
Desk, laptop and mobile app ring together, wherever staff are working.
Calls run over the internet connection you already have.
Adding a user is a configuration change, not an engineer visit and new cabling.
Webex Calling, 3CX, RingCentral, Zoom Phone or Teams Phone, matched to team size and call volume.

VoIP Phone System Pricing Dubai
VoIP pricing in Dubai depends on whether you go fully cloud-hosted or install an on-premise or hybrid PBX. For most businesses under 50 users, fully hosted VoIP is simpler and cheaper to run. Larger organisations or those needing advanced call-centre features often benefit from an on-premise 3CX deployment.
- Cloud VoIP (hosted, no hardware): per-user monthly plan including DID number and local UAE calls
- 3CX on-premise licence: one-time setup fee (up to 10 users) plus hardware
- Cisco IP phones (Cisco 6821 desk phone): one-time purchase per device
- Yealink desk phones: one-time purchase per device, compatible with all major platforms
- Microsoft Teams Phone add-on: from AED 95/user/month on top of existing M365 subscription
- Number porting (move your existing UAE DID to VoIP): included in setup
How VoIP Works for Dubai Businesses
Traditional phone systems (PABX with PSTN lines from Etisalat or du) tie you to physical copper lines and specific extensions at specific desks. VoIP converts voice to data packets sent over your internet connection. To the caller the quality is identical (or better), but the system is dramatically more flexible. Your DID numbers (the local Dubai or UAE numbers your clients call) are retained and ported to the VoIP system. You can add a new user in minutes, set up a new office in a different emirate without additional line installations, and route calls to a mobile app for remote staff.
PABX vs IP-PBX: Which Phone System Fits Your Office
Three kinds of phone system still turn up in Dubai offices, and we are asked to replace, extend or rescue all of them. A traditional PABX is a box in the comms cupboard with a card for each analogue or digital extension, one copper pair to every desk, and PSTN lines from Etisalat or du coming in. If it works, the building is fitted out and nobody is moving, it can run for years; the trouble starts when a card fails and the spare is no longer made, or when someone needs to take calls from home. An IP-PBX such as 3CX, Yeastar or Grandstream does the same switching as software or a small appliance on your data network, and connects outside over SIP trunks instead of copper. It fits an office that wants to own its system, has a server or rack to put it in, and has more than a handful of people on the phones. A cloud PBX (3CX hosted, Webex Calling or Teams Phone) removes the box altogether and bills per user each month. It suits small teams, businesses with staff split between sites or working remotely, and anyone moving office within a year. The practical question is less about features, which overlap heavily now, and more about who looks after it and where it lives.
- Traditional PABX: keep it if it works and nothing is changing; plan the exit before a card fails
- IP-PBX (3CX, Yeastar, Grandstream): on-site control for offices with a rack and a steady headcount
- Cloud PBX (hosted 3CX, Webex Calling, Teams Phone): small, remote or multi-site teams
- IP phones need a PoE switch port each, or a local power adapter per handset
- A separate voice VLAN keeps phones off the staff data network
- QoS on the switch and firewall puts voice ahead of downloads and backups
- Handsets are matched to the platform: Teams Phone, for one, needs Teams-certified desk phones
VoIP Platforms We Install in Dubai
Different businesses need different VoIP platforms. A 5-person consultancy has different requirements from a 200-seat call centre. We match the platform to your needs rather than pushing one product.
- 3CX: open-standard IP PBX, on-premise or hosted, ideal for 10–500 users; full call-centre features
- Cisco Webex Calling: enterprise-grade cloud VoIP with Cisco hardware integration
- Microsoft Teams Phone: native integration for businesses already on Microsoft 365
- Zoom Phone: best for organisations that already use Zoom meetings extensively
- RingCentral: cloud-first system strong on mobile and remote-work scenarios
- Yeastar: popular on-premise PBX for value-focused deployments in Dubai
VoIP Network Requirements Dubai
VoIP call quality depends on your internet connection quality, not just speed but jitter and packet loss. Before any VoIP installation we assess your internet connection (Etisalat Business Fibre, du Business, or VDSL) and internal network for VoIP readiness. Key requirements: a router or firewall that supports QoS (Quality of Service) to prioritise voice packets over other traffic, a managed switch with VLAN capability to separate voice and data traffic, and a reliable internet feed with at least 100 kbps per concurrent call. We configure all of this as part of the VoIP deployment.
VoIP Features for Dubai Businesses
Modern VoIP systems include features that traditional PABX systems charge significantly extra for, or cannot offer at all.
- Auto-attendant (IVR): press 1 for sales, 2 for support, fully configurable
- Call queuing with hold music and estimated wait time
- Call recording: stored in cloud or on-premise with search and playback
- Mobile softphone app: business calls on personal phones, separate from personal number
- Voicemail to email: transcribed voicemail delivered to your inbox
- Call analytics: inbound/outbound volume, missed calls, average handling time
- CRM integration: call logs pushed to Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho automatically
- Video conferencing: built into most platforms at no extra cost
Key Benefits of VoIP Phone Systems
