Cellular models are worth more, even if you never used the SIM.

The WiFi and cellular versions of the same iPad are different products on the resale market, and the gap is larger than most owners expect. The cellular hardware is fitted at manufacture and cannot be added later, so a cellular model commands a premium whether or not it ever had a data plan on it.

After that it is generation and storage. iPads have long useful lives and the market reflects that, so a model several generations old is still worth bringing in - and as with any Apple device, Find My has to be signed out before it can be sold.

Do you accept damaged iPads - cracked screen, dead battery, bent frame?
Yes to all of those - we just reflect the condition in the offer. A cracked digitiser or glass on an iPad Pro 11" M2: we still buy it, with a fair reduction because we replace the display in-house. A swollen or worn battery is a small, itemised deduction because tablet battery replacement is routine for us. A slightly bent aluminium frame, a dead pixel patch, a non-working Face ID or Touch ID sensor, a faulty Apple Pencil charging connector - all accepted, each shown as a transparent line on your written valuation so you can see exactly how the number was reached. Liquid damage is case-by-case: if the iPad still powers on, charges and the touchscreen responds we buy it; if it is fully dead we make a parts-value offer based on the model and chip generation. The only units we typically decline outright are very old first and second generation iPads, because resale demand for those has collapsed - those we accept only as electronics-recycling drop-offs.

We do not pay in cryptocurrency, foreign cash, or gold. Every payment, regardless of method, comes with a signed receipt carrying our trade licence number and your Emirates ID or passport reference for compliance.
What ID do I need to bring to sell my iPad?
UAE residents bring Emirates ID, front and back. UAE citizens bring Emirates ID or family card. Tourists or short-term visitors bring passport plus the entry stamp page or current UAE visa. Businesses, schools or clinics selling fleet iPads bring a trade licence copy, a signed authorisation letter on company letterhead naming the person handing the devices over, and that person's Emirates ID. Estate sales bring the will or letter of administration plus your Emirates ID. We log ID against device serial number for every transaction - this is standard UAE second-hand electronics compliance under the Department of Economic Development rules, and it protects both sides if a device is ever reported lost or stolen later. No grey transactions, no off-the-books purchases.
What happens to my data - do you wipe my iPad before resale?
We do not touch your data until you have signed the device over. Standard procedure on every iPad intake: (1) you sit with our technician while we confirm you are signed out of iCloud and that Find My iPad / Activation Lock is removed, (2) we open Settings, General, Transfer or Reset iPad, Erase All Content and Settings, and run a full factory wipe in front of you, (3) we power the iPad on, reach the Hello / Setup Assistant screen to prove the erase completed and Activation Lock is clear, then power it down. You watch this whole process before payment changes hands - it usually takes 10 to 20 minutes. If you want, we can help you back up to iCloud or copy Photos and files to an external drive you bring beforehand, free of charge, so nothing is lost in the transfer to your next device.
Is the WhatsApp valuation binding - what if I disagree at inspection?
The WhatsApp valuation is an honest written offer, not a haggling tactic - if the iPad matches the photos and your description, the in-person figure matches it the large majority of the time. If the inspection finds something material that was not visible in the photos (liquid-damage indicators tripped, hidden display delamination, a failing battery, a touchscreen dead zone, an undisclosed bent frame), we show you the issue, explain the adjustment in writing, and you decide. If you do not accept the revised offer, you walk out with your iPad - no charge, no pressure. Do you buy iCloud-locked or Activation Lock iPads?
Short answer - no, not unless you can unlock them in our presence. Apple's Activation Lock is bound to your Apple ID and the Find My setting, and a locked iPad is essentially a paperweight that cannot legitimately be resold or reused. Before you bring the iPad in, turn off Find My and sign out of iCloud: open Settings, tap your name at the top, scroll down and tap Sign Out, enter your Apple ID password, and confirm. If you forgot the Apple ID password, recover it on appleid.apple.com before coming in. If you bought the iPad second-hand and never knew the previous owner's Apple ID, you have a problem - we do not buy these because Apple cannot legitimately unlock them without the original purchase receipt linked to the original buyer. The only exception: we accept locked iPads as parts donors with a parts-value offer and full disclosure of the lock status logged on the receipt.
Do you buy both Wi-Fi and Cellular iPads, and does it change the offer?
