What a working-from-home setup needs
A laptop on the kitchen table is not a home office.
Working from home properly needs the things an office provides invisibly: a second screen, a printer that actually connects, VPN access to company systems, a video call that does not drop, and a desk arrangement you can sit at for eight hours without your shoulders complaining. Each is minor alone and together they decide whether working from home is sustainable.
It is also the setup nobody is responsible for. There is no IT department to call, so it tends to be assembled piecemeal and never quite finished.
Set up and arranged properly, including scaling that matches the two screens.
Secure connection to the office network configured and tested.
Camera, audio and the network path checked, not just installed.
Screen height and desk arrangement set for full working days rather than an hour.
