Is the fault on the board, or on the panel in front of it?
Artefacts and tearing from cracked GPU joints look like a dying screen from where you sit. If the glass is cracked or the panel itself has failed, that is a different job, and repairs by iMac generation start at the hub.

Most repair shops diagnose down to the board and then replace it. We work at component level, tracing the failed rail and replacing the individual capacitor, MOSFET or power IC that caused it. That is the difference between a repair and a parts swap, and it is a difference in equipment as much as in intent.
The limit is set by the hardware rather than by willingness. On Intel iMacs almost everything on the board is serviceable. On the M1, M3 and M4 24-inch units much of the machine is integrated into the SoC package, so some faults genuinely do require the board itself to be replaced, and we would rather tell you that early than discover it halfway through.

The board goes under the stereo microscope at no charge, and Apple Service Toolkit 2 pulls fault codes over the diagnostic harness with the board in DFU and recovery modes.

Measure the rails
Rail ripple is captured on the oscilloscope under load and at idle, continuity is checked point to point on the suspect rails with the industrial multimeter, and the FLIR camera finds components running hot.

Replace the component
Hot tweezers and hot air under thermal monitoring for an IC, or a lift, clean, re-ball and controlled reflow for a cracked GPU package. Replacement ICs are sourced through our authorised distributor network in the UAE and Hong Kong.

Bring an iMac with a suspected board fault to either Dubai workshop without an appointment. Our Media City workshop is on the 10th floor of Concord Tower, where visitor parking is free for the first 15 minutes, then paid; our Bur Dubai workshop is in the IT Center Building on 21A Street, where parking is paid on the street with more in the BurJuman car park. The initial look under the microscope costs nothing at either address.
The counter is open Monday to Saturday, 09:00 until 19:00, pausing on Friday between 12:00 and 14:00 and shut on Sunday. If a run of ageing iMacs has started failing together, which is the usual pattern at five-year-old Tecom design agencies, DIFC legal firms and Bur Dubai trading offices, message us first: three or more units can be booked in as one batch, each with its own job ticket, and offices on one of our AMC plans can have the engineer bring them in on a scheduled visit.
Bringing an iMac in
Logic board jobs are walk-in only. An iMac is awkward to carry and easy to damage in a car boot, so lay it screen-down on something soft, or bring it in the original box if you kept it. From Studio City, Tecom, JLT, Marina or the Palm, Media City is the nearer counter; from DIFC, Downtown, Business Bay or DHCC, Bur Dubai usually is.
What to bring
The iMac and its power cable. If the magnetic power cable connector is involved, bring the cable that came with the machine rather than a substitute, because intermittent power can sit in either. Back the machine up first if it still starts, and tell us at the counter what it did before it stopped, including whether the fans spin.
