The limit is set by the hardware rather than by willingness. On Intel iMacs almost everything on the board is serviceable. On the M1, M3 and M4 24-inch units much of the machine is integrated into the SoC package, so some faults genuinely do require the board itself to be replaced, and we would rather tell you that early than discover it halfway through.

How the board is read
The board goes under the stereo microscope at no charge, and Apple Service Toolkit 2 pulls fault codes over the diagnostic harness with the board in DFU and recovery modes.
Rail ripple is captured on the oscilloscope under load and at idle, continuity is checked point to point on the suspect rails with the industrial multimeter, and the FLIR camera finds components running hot.
Hot tweezers and hot air under thermal monitoring for an IC, or a lift, clean, re-ball and controlled reflow for a cracked GPU package. Replacement ICs are sourced through our authorised distributor network in the UAE and Hong Kong.

The counter is open Monday to Saturday, 09:00 until 21:00, pausing on Friday between 12:00 and 14:00 and shut on Sunday.
