This is the last user-upgradable Mac and stays in heavy use across Dubai post-production houses, AI inference workstations and architecture practices running Houdini and Maya. The 2013 cylinder Mac Pro known as the trash can has Intel Xeon E5-1600 v2 CPUs (4, 6, 8 or 12-core), socketed DDR3 ECC memory up to 64GB across 4 DIMM slots, and dual AMD FirePro D300, D500 or D700 GPUs on a thermal core. This is the hardest Mac Pro to repair because of the thermal core architecture - any GPU or CPU failure means full disassembly of the cylinder.
